This 24V DC LED street light uses very efficient Cree LEDs, emitting over 100 lumens per watt, so this LED street light gives up to 5300 lumens. It is amazing how much light this LED street light gives for only 50 watts! At a height of 25 feet (8m) the light coverage on the ground is 30 ft (10m) X 30 ft (10m) using 120 degree beam angle, and the LED street light will allow most people to easily read a phone book in this area. The aluminum body has a pleasant hi tech shape and is extremely rugged and entirely weather proof. The 50 one watt LEDs are cooled by the heat sink incorporated into the aluminum fixture.
You can use your own controller, or you can purchase one from our 'Solar/Light Controllers' page. This streetlight works with our 24 VDC 'ICOS" controllers. These LED street lights are especially suited to solar power systems due to their extremely high lumen output and their ability to be dimmed during part of the night. When one of our dimming controllers (sku of SC-L) is used with these LED streetlights the possible power saving is surprisingly large. This combination of extremely high lumens per watt (100+ lu/watt) plus dimming, can reduce your winter solar array and battery bank sizing such that the light has paid for itself!
