This is the ultimate weather-proof LED street light fixture, perfect for a lane, parking area, path or arena. The 27 one watt Cree LED's are extremely efficient, and are cooled by an ingenious heat sink. This LED street light uses only 2.3 amps at 12 VDC, and gives up to 2800 lumens using just 27 watts of power!! At a height of 25 feet (8m) the light coverage on the ground is 30 ft (10m) X 30 ft (10m), and the street light will allow most people to read a newspaper in this area.
You can use your own controller, or you can purchase one from our 'Solar/Light Controllers' page. This streetlight works with all of our 12 VDC 'ICOS" controllers. These LED street lights are especially suited to solar power systems due to their extremely high light output and their ability to be dimmed during part of the night. When one of our dimming controllers (sku of SC-L) is used with these LED streetlights the possible power saving is surprisingly large. This combination of extremely high lumens per watt (100+ lu/watt) plus dimming, can reduce your winter solar array and battery bank sizing such that the light has paid for itself!
